Are you the CEO of your company? And if so, have you been the one that’s been in the media or speaking at conferences to represent your brand?
I love that that it’s an option for you and your business. But, what would be even better than that is if your company continues to grow as you bring people on, that you actually have what we call brand ambassadors. These are actually internal brand ambassadors where you are taking people inside the company and letting them grow into an area that they want to, and this actually creates ownership into the role. But also, they are actually speaking at conferences to get the word out there for you. And they’re really ambassadors for you in the marketplace. How does that sound?
Well, I recently had an interview with Bob Ruffolo with IMPACT Branding and Design. He’s a phenomenal company, or phenomenal leader inside this company, and he’s the number one HubSpot partner last year. And Bob learned a few years ago that his employees would love to speak at conferences instead of just him. And what he ended up doing was, he allowed them to speak at these conferences, and they loved it.
And what happened after that is they actually created multiple podcasts. In fact, seven podcasts, I won’t even try to hold up fingers here, but seven podcasts that really does drive the business forward.
Now, that is because they wanted to create something really special in the marketplace. And, this is the way he’s done this.
