The Vision of Culture – What it Could Be Like – Behind The Scenes

Imagine the power of visionary leadership that connects people and aligns the work to a robust culture. It is financial health, strong employee experience, and your own peace of mind. The vision of culture is not something we take time to consider, given the need for focus on today’s issues. I invite you to think about your vision of culture as the company grows and evolves. This is an essential part of your success as a leader sees the future and aligns resources to what is most important. The vision of culture is complex and yet simple too.

Imagine for a second that your company was running at the best it could possibly run. It’s a competitive advantage, not just in your industry, but across all categories of leadership and culture, and performance. Well, what I’m talking about specifically is, you know, the financial health of your company is completely in check. The retention of your employees and the employee experience is absolutely at the highest levels. And your ability to run it all is absolutely giving you peace, giving you all that space that you want to be the visionary that you really desire to be.

The reason I’m taking you into this place where you imagine because a lot of time, you’re so focused on the actual work that you have to do the strategies, the metrics, the people, the sales, the marketing, all the things that could be going wrong, and you haven’t focused on what could it be like? What could our company look like and perform like, if we were playing an optimal level, my job as a business coach is not to just help my clients work through challenges, but it’s also to dream about what it could be like about the individual people inside their company, one of the things I would invite you to do is look at your org chart and see, you know, look at the different teams and the different dynamics are going on?

[1:16]
In one team compared to others, compared to across all of them, everyone working together collaboratively, had a tough time getting that out. But imagine for a second that everyone’s playing at the very highest level. Because I know what’s true, is if you as a leader step up in a way that aligns people together around the mission of the company, and really can connect people to the meaning of their work. But also to find a place where you know, everyone is performing beyond their individual capabilities, you will have more fun as a leader, you will have more success, you will get more results, all of those things are possible. And you just sometimes have to let your mind think about what it could be like, not how to get there. But just what could it be like playing at a higher level?

[2:06]
All this is just a chance for you to think for a second, will you take the time to think about what it could be like inside your culture and inside your work and the performance? Will you take the time to think about your job is very peaceful. Your job is you know, helping people play at a higher level, being the coach when necessary. Being a visionary CEO when necessary, all of those things playing together, creating the kind of work that you want, and creating the results that you want for your company. Well, if you’ll take the time to do it, I think you’ll find some insights behind you know, the gaps between where you are today and what it could be like, and spending some time looking at the future. And thinking about it will help you get there. All these things said and done.

My name is Gene Hammett. I work with founder CEOs of fast-growth companies, typically the 5000 these companies are growing faster than their peers, top 1% of the business. I studied that growth. I tried to create frameworks that try to create a way to understand how they grow so fast come back to the leaders that they’re being and the culture they create inside the company. I help companies do that through my coaching and their teams. And it really is something I have enjoyed doing over the last 10 years.
