Ryan Thogmartin: The Transcript
Ryan Thogmartin has spent his life exploring what it means to be an entrepreneur and a hustler. Ryan began his hustling as a high school freshman flipping packs of “not for resale” Sam’s Club gum from his locker. The entrepreneurial gene in his DNA stimulated many other side-hustles through Ryan’s high school years. Upon graduation, he jumped right into the business world and began building his first company. Ryan dropped out of college after his freshman year of college to continue to grow the company, eventually selling it three years later. While searching for his next entrepreneurial venture, Ryan stepped into the funeral profession by making sales calls for his father-in-law’s Wilbert Burial Vault franchise. With an entrepreneurial DNA and marketing background, Ryan quickly saw the need for a platform that could provide daily funeral profession news, information, and marketing advice. From this insight, ConnectingDirectors.com was conceived and launched in October of 2007. Since then it has become the most read funeral publication in the world.
