Be Very Intentional about Your Lifestyle Design – Ryan Daniel Moran

Be Very Intentional about Your Lifestyle Design - Ryan Daniel Moran

Tons of business owners get it all wrong. They search for ideas about businesses and analyze business models. At the end of all this research, they usually get what they are looking for…but end up regretting it in the long run.

Ryan Daniel Moran discovered it is best to think of the lifestyle that you want and search for opportunities that “fit” that lifestyle. Ryan discusses how he approaches lifestyle design and how to avoid the trap that so many entrepreneurs fall into without even thinking about it.

In this episode, here’s what we’ll cover:

  • What’s the trap so many of us fall into?
  • What are the two kinds of people in the world according to Ryan?
  • How to have happier customers, better work and make more money?
  • How do our brains hold us back from change?
  • There’s no such thing as security. True or False?
  • What does he mean by expand?
  • What’s the first and best investment you can make according to Ryan?
  • How to create all the opportunity in the world.

Ryan’s Target Audience: Ryan’s target market is two groups: people who are becoming entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs who want to be better entrepreneurs so that it serves the lifestyle they ultimately want to live.

Today Ryan lives a life by design and shows others how to do the same through intentionality and a specific process he walks them through.

And like most entrepreneurs, this wasn’t always the case for him. His journey began in college when he developed his first company, an affiliate marketing business online. He took it from zero to six-figures in profit his first full year. Mind you, he was going to school full-time!  He earned $100,000 to $250,000 a year in that business from his college dorm room.

Being unusually savvy for a young man, Ryan lived on very little of those profits. Instead, he took as much as he could and put it into other investment streams. He was on his way.

He went on to build more businesses and create tremendous success for himself. But about a year and a half ago, he realized he was utterly miserable and knew he needed to pivot because he was not going in the direction he envisioned for himself and his life.

So pivot he did. He decided he wanted to start new businesses focused on value creation and wealthier companies. His strategy is now to make his money on the internet through businesses that produce an immense amount of value and then take those profits and invest them into other areas of passive income.

What he wanted was several income streams that didn’t require him to show up so he could do whatever he wants with his time.

And that’s exactly what has today! Currently, a few of his revenue streams are a men’s health and fitness company with supplements, a  yoga products business sold exclusively on Amazon as well as a restaurant and a few other investments.

Practical & Actionable:

Ryan’s practical and actionable step is to journal. This is what he did when he was in transition: he wanted to build elements of purpose into his life so he set that as his intention. After he did, he described what that looked like to him in his journal, along with the action steps needed to incorporate that into his daily routine.

Ryan says whatever you are looking to expand or change in your life, write it down so you can start to become intentional: get really clear for yourself about what it is that you are growing into.

Ask yourself what are the opportunities I want to create? Then write them down. And then ask a few more questions: what is it that I want to experience? What does an ideal day look like? What do I want to do in the next year with my time? Then write that down and create small action steps to roll into that expansion.

Ryan believes it’s about getting clear about where you are going next so you are trained to be in tune with those opportunities. When you’re in tune with those opportunities, the information you need will come to you.
