About: From the window of Aaron VanderGalien’s home, he could see Cannonsburg Ski Lodge, and with it came his first business opportunity. At the young age of 10, he started a ski sharpening business out of his parent’s garage, complete with a business plan and branding. His mom learned how seriously he took his business when she pulled into the garage one day. He greeted her by saying, “This spot is for paying customers only!” and with that, his life as an entrepreneur began. He was a serial entrepreneur with a dream to impact people positively and to succeed. In 2000, when his construction company failed, he had to bear the weight of 48 people losing their jobs. Why did they fail? Because they didn’t have effective marketing, they couldn’t get the diversity and substantiation they needed to succeed. The impacts were devastating, but it was also a major turning point in his life and career. He decided that no one should have to go through that experience, and he needed to do something to help entrepreneurs get the fighting chance they deserved. So in 2004, He created Deksia. Deksia was created with the sole purpose of empowering business owners with the marketing support needed to not only reach their goals but to grow sustainably. Since its birth, they have witnessed first-hand how affordable, strategic marketing can catapult businesses out of the dust and into flourishing success. They have had the privilege of helping people achieve their dreams and experience more opportunities in their life.
