Michael’s Target Audience:  Michael’s target market is entrepreneurs and marketers who want to navigate the ever-changing landscape of social media.

Michael was once a writer for hire but has always been, at his core, a sales person. Before creating his own company, he worked in the tech field as a marketing manager. His writing experience helped him develop the communication skills required for marketing and sales. Marketing was always his cup of tea.

Raised with strong work ethics, he logged countless hours growing his business into a successful venture. His business Social Media Examiner, was first a movement that then caught on and became the household name it is today.

Michael talks about his transition from working as a writer to running a creative agency and finally moving into teaching sales and marketing via social media. When he started out, he created a movement and was able to get a lot of followers. Without advertising directly, the movement grew and after reaching a certain threshold, he monetized it.

Today this movement is known as the Social Media Examiner, the world’s largest online publication with an email list of 279,000 followers! Michael tells us how social media can help us grow if we make a constant effort to engage our followers. He believes this to be especially important for leaders, they should find the time to engage in social media because it’s free and doesn’t require a ton of time.

Whether your company is large or small, everyone needs to pay attention to social media for the huge return it can provide. Simply by setting aside a few minutes per day, you can make a huge difference in gaining success.
