Jeremiah’s Target Audience:  Jeremiah’s target market is individuals and companies looking for logo designs, video and other media creations to help in their business.

With a lifelong love of art, Jeremiah wanted to pursue an artistic-type career. Like most of us, he had no idea where to start. One day, he experienced the Art Institute of Atlanta and saw the direction to go in. He earned an art degree at the AIA and began working in the creative field right out of college.

As he moved along, he picked up more graphic design skills as well as web design and video editing skills. Things were going well for him, until the start-up he was with had to let him go due to financial problems. That was the turning point for him. Today he is glad for the experience, it allowed him to explore working as a freelancer.

Jeremiah talks about his happiness and the struggles he went through in his journey. There were a lot of struggles, but he was motivated to go out there and find clients on his own. He says there were a combination of things that helped him: his experience and history, plus contacting and reaching out to people he knew. His contacts in the medical field and martial arts helped him tremendously as did receiving referrals.

Soon he found his business growing and his happiness as well. He was delighted to work in the field he liked, serving the industry that he preferred. He could do what made him happy.

Jeremiah ClaybrooksJeremiah explains that instead of working for a job that pays a certain amount of money, he found he could work extra hard and make even more. He soon found he enjoyed being in a position where he didn’t have to depend upon someone else for his income.

Despite the long hours and the struggles, Jeremiah is grateful for his journey and where it led him to today. He shares in great detail what those struggles were like for him, and how he overcame them.

Practical & Actionable:

Jeremiah says the most practical and actionable thing that you can do right now is to focus on your strengths. You have to stick to the plan and to your strengths to make your current client base happy. If you are good at one thing, then don’t go and try to master other things in other directions. Just stick with what you are good at.
